Whole Orange Cake
The nostalgia cake of every Levantine winter: eggs, sugar and oil blended with orange juice and one whole deseeded orange — peel included — then folded with flour and baked into a golden, fragrant bundt that belongs next to a cup of tea.

How to Prepare
1
Blend the eggs, vanilla, sugar, oil, orange juice and the whole deseeded orange until completely smooth.
2
Whisk the flour, baking powder and baking soda, then fold into the blended mixture until just combined.
3
Pour into a butter-greased bundt tin.
4
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes until golden and a skewer comes out clean.
5
Cool before unmoulding, slice and serve with tea.
✦ Chef Noor's Tip
Pick a thin-skinned, sweet orange and remove every seed — seeds are the only thing that can turn the cake bitter.
