Chicken Karahi

A fragrant, restaurant-style chicken curry that comes together in one pan.

How to Prepare

Sauté the chopped onion until golden.

Add the chicken and cook until it changes colour.

Stir in the garlic, ginger, mixed spices, black pepper, turmeric, dry coriander, garam masala and crushed chilli.

Add the ground tomatoes and cook until the sauce thickens and the oil separates.

Stir in the yogurt and let it simmer until the chicken is tender.

Season with salt, scatter over fresh coriander and serve with white rice or naan.

Chef Noor's Tip

Cook the tomatoes down well until the oil rises before adding the yogurt — this gives the karahi its deep flavour.
