Sweet Potato with Cream Caramel

A simple, crowd-pleasing dessert that pairs syrup-glazed sweet potato with smooth cream caramel.

How to Prepare

1. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes. Make a syrup from the sugar and water and cook the slices in it until tender and glazed.

2. For the cream caramel, whisk the milk with the cornstarch and cream caramel powder, then cook over medium heat until thickened.

3. Arrange the sweet potato in a serving dish and pour the cream caramel over the top.

4. Refrigerate for about 1 hour to set.

5. Just before serving, sprinkle the reserved caramel sugar sachet over the surface.

Reserve the caramel sugar sachet and add it only at serving so it stays crisp.
