Kibbeh with Yogurt

A homely dish where crisp kibbeh meets a silky warm yogurt sauce.

How to Prepare

In a pot, whisk the yogurt with the cornstarch, chicken stock cube and salt.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly in one direction, until the yogurt thickens and comes to a gentle simmer (this keeps it from curdling).

In a small pan, saute the crushed garlic with chopped coriander until fragrant, then stir into the yogurt.

Add the fried kibbeh to the yogurt sauce and simmer briefly until heated through.

Serve hot, ideally with rice.

Stir the yogurt constantly in one direction while it heats to prevent it from splitting.
