Mushroom & Cheese Puff Pastry Bites
An easy savory bake built on ready puff pastry: onion and mushrooms sautéed in butter with salt and pepper, spooned over pastry squares, blanketed in mozzarella, and baked until puffed, golden and stretchy. Perfect for a fast dinner or a party platter.

How to Prepare
Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent.
Add the sliced mushrooms with salt and black pepper, and cook until the liquid evaporates and they turn golden. Let cool slightly.
Cut the puff pastry into squares and arrange on a lined baking tray.
Spoon the mushroom mixture onto each square and top generously with shredded mozzarella.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until the pastry is puffed and golden, about 18–20 minutes.
Serve warm while the cheese still pulls.
Keep the puff pastry cold until it goes into the oven and don’t overload the filling — that’s the secret to a high, crisp puff.
